Antonio was born Madrid. Between Spain and Rumania he completed his undergrad studies in Computer Engineering getting his diploma both from \u201cUniversidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid\u201d & \u201cUniversitatea Tehnica din Cluj Napoca\u201d. By that time he was already interested in photography and took some courses in it as well as in photo development in the University’s laboratory.<\/p>\n
He then went to Taiwan to work for the ICEX planning and setting up all the Spanish cultural projects in the country. There he got in touch with Spanish moviemaker Enrique Amador and started to collaborate as cameraman in different projects:\u00a0 \u201cFree\u201d (a documentary about Taiwanese aborigine\u2019s music, the feature film \u201cThe guest\u201d (a rural thriller directed also by Enrique Amador and some other personal projects (short movie \u201cL\u00e1zaro\u201d & \u201cTime\u201d).<\/p>\n
Excited by this new application of photography, he decided to give up his professional career and go back to study cinema, so he went to Spain and after being admitted to ECAM he studied cinematography being always the third of his class.<\/p>\n
Through the school he met some professionals and started to work in the Spanish movie industry. He specialized in the lights department where he worked as gaffer: Rodrigo Sorogoyen\u2019s feature film \u201cStockholm\u201d (nominated for 2014\u2019s Goyas), a chapter of Nacho Vigalondo\u2019s \u201cSins of the Fathers\u201d, Daniel Remon\u2019s short movie \u201cKoala\u201d, Chapero Jackson\u2019s feature film \u201cLos Mundos Sutiles\u201d (nominated for 2013\u2019s Goyas) & the TV commercial \u201cGQ\u2019s most beautiful man of the year\u201d, Toti Garc\u00eda\u2019s pilot \u201cDirectores Chilenos\u201d as well as several video clips with different directors of photography: Alejandro de Pablo (AEC), Aitor Uribarri (AEC), C\u00e9sar P\u00e9rez (AEC), Esteban Ramos (AEC), Victor Benavides (AEC), Rafa Roche, Mario L\u00f3pez, Paloma Banderas (AEC) and Josu Mart\u00edn (AEC).<\/p>\n
As a director of photography himself he has work in Nicol\u00e1s Balbont\u00edn\u2019s documentary \u201cRoberto Edwards\u201d, the tv commercial \u201cAshoka Fellows\u201d and the sort documentary \u201cLa matanza del cerdo\u201d; also in Diana Nava\u2019s \u201cEl techo era el cielo\u201d, in Carlos Cuervo\u2019s video clip \u201cAstrid\u201d and the TV commercial \u201cOrange \u2013 Beach Resort\u201d.<\/p>\n
At present he works in Santo Domingo, mostly in publicity but he has also taken part in Roberto Salcedo\u2019s feature film \u201cVamos de Robo\u201d, Ramses Jimenez\u2019s \u201cIsolated Victim\u201d and Santiago Segura\u2019s \u201cTorrente V\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Antonio naci\u00f3 en Madrid. Entre Espa\u00f1a y Ruman\u00eda curs\u00f3 la carrera de Ingenier\u00eda Superior en Inform\u00e1tica, obteniendo el t\u00edtulo de la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid y de la Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj Napoca. Ya interesado por la fotograf\u00eda, coordinaba y daba cursos de fotograf\u00eda y revelado en el laboratorio de la universidad. Tras entrar en contacto con el cineasta Enrique Amador en Taiw\u00e1n, mientras trabajaba para el ICEX organizando las actividades culturales espa\u00f1olas, comienza a operar la c\u00e1mara en diversos proyectos: \u201cFree\u201d documental sobre la m\u00fasica de los abor\u00edgenes taiwaneses, el largometraje \u201cThe guest\u201d un thriler rural dirigido por el mismo cineasta y algunos proyectos personales, como el cortometraje \u201cL\u00e1zaro\u201d y \u201cEl tiempo\u201d. Emocionado por esta nueva aplicaci\u00f3n de la fotograf\u00eda decide abandonar su carrera y cursar una formaci\u00f3n reglada, para lo que vuelve a Espa\u00f1a a estudiar direcci\u00f3n de fotograf\u00eda en la ECAM, donde se mantiene siempre el tercero de su promoci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n Gracias a la escuela entra en contacto con profesionales en activo y comienza a trabajar en la industria espa\u00f1ola.
